Battlegrounds of Player Unknown (PUBG) is an online multiplayer battle royal game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole.

The game is based on previous methods developed by Brandon “Player Unknown”, inspired by the 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale, and was expanded into the Standalone Game under Greene’s creative direction.

In the game, up to 100 players parachute on the island and search for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding killed themselves.

The available safe area of ​​the game map decreases in size over time, moving to harder areas to force survivors to compete.

Releasing Years

Battle Grounds was first released for Microsoft Windows in March 2017 through Steam’s Early Access Beta program, with a full release in December 2017.

The game was also released by Microsoft Studios the same month via Xbox One through the Xbox Game Preview program and was officially released in September 2018.

In addition to a port for the PlayStation 4, a free-to-play mobile version for Android and iOS was released in 2018, and a version for the Standia streaming platform was released in April 2020.

Sells

The game sold more than 70 million copies by 2020, and PUBG Mobile has been downloaded more than 600 million times.

The arena received positive reviews from critics who found that while there were some technical glitches in the game, it introduced a new type of gameplay that players of any skill level could easily approach And it’s highly repetitive.

The game is aimed at popularizing the battle royale genre, which was followed by several unofficial Chinese clones. The game received, among other recognizing, Game of the Year nominations.

PUBG Corporation has played several small tournaments and introduced game tools to help fans broadcast the game, as they aspire to become a popular destination.
